Thank you for visiting our company website. Protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below you will find extensive information about how we handle your data.

1. Access data and hosting

You may visit our website without revealing any personal information. With every visit on the website, the web server stores automatically only a so-called server log file which contains e.g. the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of the request, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the request.

These access data are analyzed exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the website and improving our offer. This provider processes on its servers all data that are collected in the manner specified below when you visit our website or fill in forms made available for this purpose in our customer area. Data are processed on other servers only in the scope described herein.

2. Data collection and use for processing the contract and for opening a customer account

We collect personal data that you voluntarily submit to us when you place an order, contact us (e.g. via contact form or by email) or open a customer account with us. Mandatory fields are marked as such because we absolutely need those data to perform the contract or process your contact request or open your customer account, and you would otherwise not be able to complete your order and/or create your customer account or send the contact request. It is evident in each input form what data are collected. We use the data that you disclose to us to perform the contract and process your enquiries. Upon completion of the contract or deletion of your customer account, any further processing of your data will be restricted, and your data will be deleted upon expiry of the retention period applicable under relevant regulations, unless you expressly consent to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to further use your personal data in the scope and manner permitted by law, of which we inform you in this notice. Your customer account can be deleted at any time. For this purpose you can either send a message to the contact option specified below or use the relevant function available in the customer account.

Hosting services provided by a third party provider

As part of processing on our behalf, a third-party provider provides hosting and website presentation services for us. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offer, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests. All data collected in the course of using this website or in forms provided for this purpose in the customer area as described below are processed on its servers. Processing on other servers only takes place within the framework explained here.

This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analytics service is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses "cookies." These are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device and enable an analysis of website usage. Information generated by cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The server is usually located in the USA.

Google Analytics cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and, if necessary, our advertising.

IP anonymisation

We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymisation function. It ensures that Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. There may be exceptional cases where Google transmits the full IP address to a server in the USA and truncates it there. Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Browser plugin

The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, some functions of our website may be restricted as a result. You can also prevent the collection of data relating to website use, including the IP address, and subsequent processing by Google. This is possible by downloading and installing this browser plugin or by objecting to cookies in the Cookies banner.

Order processing

In order to fully comply with the legal data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.

Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics

Our website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to assign the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. 3. Transfer of data

For the purpose of contract performance, we disclose your data to the shipping company in the scope required for the delivery of the ordered goods.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will regularly send you our e-mail newsletter based on your consent, using the data required or disclosed by you separately for this purpose.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter service at any time. For this purpose you can either send a message to the contact option specified below or use the opt-out link in the newsletter. Upon un-subscription, we will delete your email address unless you have expressly consented to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to further use your personal data in the scope and manner permitted by the law, of which we inform you in this notice.
The newsletter is sent to you by our service provider who processes data on our behalf and to whom we disclose your email address.
This service provider is based in an EU or EEA member state.

5. Cookies

The Internet pages of the KoCoS Messtechnik AG use cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in a computer system via an Internet browser.

6. Social media plugins

Our website uses social network buttons.

To increase the level of protection of your data during your visit to our website, those buttons are not wholly embedded in the website as plugins, but are integrated on the website using HTML links. This ensures that when you call a page of our website, which contains such buttons, no link to the servers of a social network provider is established yet.

If you click on a social network button, a new window will open in your browser which will call the page of the relevant service provider where you can use e.g. the 'Like' or 'Share' button (where applicable, after entering your login data).

7. Mobile Apps

The following Privacy Policies apply to the mobile Apps of KoCoS Messtechnik AG, available through Google's Play Store and Apple's AppStore.
By downloading of our applications, you legitimized yourself to the respective store, e.g. to the AppStore using your Apple ID. Any use of personal data, collected by Google or Apple while downloading or using the applications, that does not comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) cannot be ruled out by and lies out of the sphere of influence of KoCoS Messtechnik AG. Disclosure of data by KoCoS Messtechnik AG to Apple or Google will not be done.

8. Contact possibilities and your rights

You are entitled to obtain free-of-charge information concerning data stored about your person and, as the case may be, to correct, restrict the processing, enable the portability of, or delete those data.
