New micro-ohmmeter with exchangeable tool battery

The new PROMET L100s micro-ohmmeter will be available as the successor to the PROMET L100 in the third quarter of 2024.

The PROMET L100s is a mains-independent precision measuring device for determining resistances in the μΩ to mΩ range. PROMET L100s meets the highest accuracy requirements thanks to the measurement in four-wire technology and the output of high test currents up to 100 A. It also enables the exact determination of the winding resistances of transformers, motors and instrument transformers.

During the development of the new micro-ohmmeter, a number of innovations and improvements were implemented to improve functionality and handling and to offer the user even more benefits:

  1. Mains-independent battery operation via exchangeable tool battery
  2. Compact and robust design in a practical carrying case
  3. Operation and evaluation via a 5" touchscreen
  4. Connection to ACTAS switchgear test systems via a corresponding interface

At a glance

Mains-independent battery operation
The mains-independent battery operation of the PROMET L100s via exchangeable standard tool batteries offers improved performance, reliability and user-friendliness and ensures fast operational readiness.

Small, robust hard case
The small hard case of the PROMET L100s offers protection against knocks, drops and other impacts. This makes the measuring device ideal for use in the harshest environments, whether in industry, outdoors or on construction sites.

High accuracy in the low impedance range
The accuracy of the measurement has been further increased in the low-impedance range, so that resistances in the μΩ range can be measured even more accurately than before.

Integration of up to 3 PROMETs into the test with ACTAS test systems
PROMET L100s are equipped with interfaces for connection to ACTAS test systems. Measurements of the dynamic contact resistance can be carried out simultaneously in three poles in combination with ACTAS.

Contact resistance determination via current clamp with earthing on both sides
The parallel measurement of the earth current ensures exact resistance determination on the main contacts of switchgear, even if earthing is maintained on both sides.

Temperature-compensated determination of resistances
PROMET L100s can be used to determine resistances in a temperature-compensated manner. For this purpose, the temperature at the measuring point is recorded with a sensor and the resistance value is calculated taking the reference temperature into account.

Intuitive operation via 5" touchscreen
The measuring device is operated intuitively and the test parameters and measurement results are displayed clearly via a resistive 5" touchscreen and function keys.
