A new update of the ARTES 5 testing software is available for you to download from the customer area of our website. With this update, we are providing some enhancements and optimizations to the software functions to make your work even more efficient.

Parameter converter for the IMP monitor
Based on an Excel file, the parameters of the distance protection functions of the relays can be converted to the ARTES 5 parameters.

IMP-Monitor: Separate directional characteristics for forward and reverse
To simulate different distance protection characteristics, separate directional characteristics can be set for forward and reverse zone settings. 

Creating global variables
Global variables can be used to implement conversions of relay parameters.  This also provides new options for automating test sequences.

Storing binary sequences in function parameters
In addition to global binary sequences, each function parameter set has the option of saving its own binary sequence. These can be configured on an event-driven basis, for example to reset the test object after triggering.  

IT curve grabber
If the tripping characteristic of an overcurrent protection relay is only available in the form of an image, this can be transferred to the ARTES 5 software using the IT curve grabber. 

Measurements based on formulas
Formulas can be used in measurements to provide more options for evaluation.
