The METES 340 REF three-phase meter test system has been tested by the PTB (German National Metrology Institute) and has received certification for accuracy class 0.05. This high-precision test system is now officially approved as a reference meter for testing electricity meters and bears the certification number 4415PTB07.

METES 340 REF is also available with accuracy class 0.02. PTB certification is currently in preparation.

The accuracy tests included an exact comparison of the power and energy values measured by METES 340 REF with the PTB reference. Comparisons were made at a large number of different load points, i.e. defined values for current, voltage and power factor. An extended series of tests certified that METES 340 REF is extremely immune to external influences such as temperature and electrical or magnetic fields.

As well as delivering high accuracy, METES 340 REF also scores high points for its excellent operational concept. Tests can be carried out using either just 4 function keys and the LCD screen or alternatively with the aid of a PC on which the operating software has been installed.
